Vocational Qualifications Authority is established to form and operate the National Qualification System and implement the activities regarding determining the base for national qualifications on technical and vocational fields, audit, grading and assessment, testing and certification, which are the bases for the national and international occupational standards.

The contributions of the social partners and the organizations which are capable enough to represent the sector are very crucial to this system which has assured the quality at the international level and ensures the harmony between the education and employment hence results with qualified labour force.

Accordingly, I wish “Strengthening Vocational Qualifications Authority (VQA) and National Qualifications System (NQS) in Turkey” Project, which is expected to undertake a significant role, will provide substantial outputs for all parties.
